Harold H. Sullivan, Jr., MD, MPH
Dr. Harold Sullivan is a Board Certified Gastroenterologist who has been practicing Gastroenterology in Maine since 1994, upon retiring from the US Army as a Lieutenant Colonel. He is a Distinguished Graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, received his MD from Tufts University School of Medicine, in Boston, Massachusetts and a Masters of Public Health from the Harvard University School of Public Health in Boston, Massachusetts.
Dr. Sullivan was born in Wisconsin during his father’s Naval tour of duty at Great Lakes.
He graduated from high school in Jacksonville, Florida, where his father, who is a Pearl Harbor survivor, retired from his command and 30 year Naval career.
Dr. Sullivan completed his Flexible Internship and Internal Medicine Residency at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, Texas, and his Gastroenterology Fellowship at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. His Aerospace Medicine Residency was completed at Brook Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas.
In addition to Gastroenterology, Dr Sullivan is also Board Certified in Internal Medicine, and Aerospace Medicine. During his Army career, Dr. Sullivan held such positions as Chief of Gastroenterology at Landstuhl Army Medical Center, Landstuhl, Germany, and Internal Medicine Consultant to the Surgeon General for Aerospace Medicine, at Fort Rucker, Alabama.
Dr. Sullivan is on the staff of Maine Medical Center, Mercy Hospital, New England Rehabilitation Hospital, and Southern Maine Medial Center. He is a member of the Maine Gastroenterology Society and the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. He has twice received Most Outstanding Specialist teaching awards from the Family Practice Residents at Maine Medical Center.
He and his wife, a Maine native, live in Cape Elizabeth and have two grown children.
He is an avid golfer.

Jaime Hare, MS, FNP-C
Nurse Practitioner
Jaime Hare is a Maine native who joined our practice in 2002. She is a 1997 graduate of Boston
College where she received a Bachelors of Science Degree in Biology. She completed a Master of
Science Degree in Nursing at the University of Southern Maine in 2002. She was elected to the
Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society during her graduate studies. Ms. Hare is a certified Family
Nurse Practitioner. She is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the
American Gastroenterology Association.
Her medical interests include inflammatory bowel disease, hepatitis C, and gastroesophageal reflux
disease. She has received specialized training to perform and interpret esophageal function testing
as well as acid and non-acid reflux testing. Ms. Hare lives in the Sebago Lake region with her husband, daughter and son.
What is a Nurse Practitioner?
A Nurse Practitioner (also known as an Advance Practice Registered Nurse) is a registered nurse
(RN) who has received advanced education and clinical training. Nurse Practitioners are nationally
recognized as expert health care providers who diagnosis and treat patients, order and perform
diagnostic studies, and prescribe medications. Nurse practitioners practice under the guidelines
of the State Nurse Practice Act. Nurse Practitioners are a vital part of our practice and work
collaboratively with our gastroenterologists to provide comprehensive diagnosis and treatment of
gastrointestinal disorders.

Michelle S. True, MS, FNP-C
Nurse Practitioner
Michelle True was raised in Marblehead, Massachusetts and graduated from Saint Joseph’s College in
Windham, Maine in 1983 with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing. She worked as a Registered
Nurse first in Connecticut then returning to Maine for thirteen years before pursuing her graduate
degree at Simmons College. During her graduate studies she participated in research into adolescent
behaviors. While attending Simmons College Ms. True was elected into Sigma Theta Tau National
Honor Society for Nursing. She graduated with her Masters Degree in Adult Primary Care in 1996
and started her career as an Adult Nurse Practitioner. In 1998 Ms. True received her Post Graduate
Certificate in Family Practice from Simmons College.
Ms. True is Nationally Certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners as a Family Nurse
Practitioner. She is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, Sigma Theta Tau,
and the Maine Nurse Practitioners Association. Her medical interests include preventative care in
gastroenterology, inflammatory bowel disease, and the treatment of adolescent patients. In her leisure
time she enjoys travel, swimming, cooking, reading, hockey and baseball. Ms. True resides in Portland
with her husband and teenage son.

Pamela R. Fox, MS, FNP-C
Nurse Practitioner
Pamela Fox has been a practicing Family Nurse Practitioner since 1982. After completing her
Bachelors of Science Degree in Biology at Skidmore College, she went on to complete her
Master of Science Degree in Nursing at Pace University in New York. Her work experiences
have included community health nursing, pediatrics, family planning and most recently over
15 years in internal medicine in Massachusetts. Ms. Fox is nationally certified by the American
Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She lives in Cape Elizabeth with her husband and teenage son.
She has two grown children who live in Boston and Colorado.

Tabitha C. Swanson, CPA, CMA, CFM
Practice Manager
Tabitha Swanson graduated from the University of Maine in Orono with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Business Administration in 2000. In 2002, she received her Certified Public Accountant designation in Maine and in 2007 she received her Certified in Management Accounting and Certified Financial Manager designations. She is a member of the Medical Group Management Association, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Maine Society of CPAs, and the Institute of Management Accountants. Prior to joining CBG in 2008, Tabitha was the Controller of a Portland law firm. She has also worked in accounting for a large insurance company and audited several medical facilities. Tabitha lives in Windham with her husband and son.
